He was predeceased by: his parents, Hoyt S. Purvis and Jane Purvis. He is survived by: his daughter Susan; his wife Mary Purvis; his daughters, Pamela Hatcher (Patrick) and Camille Purvis Dawson; his grandchildren, Wells, Barrett Hatcher, Duke and Sienna Dawson; his sister Peggy Mullen; and his nieces and nephews, Rodney Faver (Patti), Suzie Schulenberg (Glenn), Kat Faver and Sherri Hein (Chris).
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in honor of his commitment to education and international exchange to either the University of Arkansas where a memorial fund is being established in the Fulbright College (contributions may be sent to Gift Administration, Suite 210, 1125 W.
