He was predeceased by: his parents, Marshal Abner McElmurry and Bly Euliane; and his brother Thomas Marshal McElmurry. He is survived by: his wife Camille; his daughter Holly; his stepdaughters, Irene and Caitlin; and his siblings, Buddy, Rick and Joyce. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews.

A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, March 8th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Senior Center (945 S College Ave, Fayetteville, AR 72701).

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly asks that donations be made to the Seven Hills Homeless Shelter in Fayetteville or the Williamsburg Christadelphian Foundation.

“My deepest sympathy to Camille and family. I know Gary from Silver Sneakers at the Jones Center. He had a great sense of humor and loved to tell stories. The one that I remember the most was when he was a teenager he was quite a dancer. He appeared on a dance show out of Little Rock and all the ladies wanted to dance with him. He was the nicest person and will be missed in our exercise class. Paula Fowler”
