She was predeceased by: her parents, James Glen and Dorothy Helen Birch (Wood); her husband Bruce Powell; and her siblings, Jerry Mark Birch, Norma Jean Nichols and June Louise Garriott-Daniels.

She is survived by: her father-in-law Bruce M. Powell; her children, Michael Glenn Curtsinger, Beverly Copeland and Jacqulyn Long (Bob); her brother James G. Birch, Jr.; her son-in-law Greg Copeland; her grandchildren, Casey Copeland (Cohen), Amy Copeland, Kelley Billbe, Justin Brown (Morgan) and Alex Curtsinger; her great grandchildren, Olivia, Maggie, Jackson, Blake, Gregory, Joshua, McKenna, Cadence, Kaley, Adler, Sean and Killian; her great great grandchild Lily Marie; her friend John T. Carter; and her stepchildren, Teresa Fisher (Paul), Donald Powell (Elizabeth), Michael Powell (Pattie) and Jim Powell (Suzanne). She is also survived by eight step grandchildren and seven step great grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.Funeral.

“Dot and I (Janet Collins) worked together at Walmart for many years. Everymorning we met in the break room and Dot brought a donut for each of us and we sat and enjoyed our donut and coffee together. She was alway such a wonderful lady. She will be missed. I am very sorry for your loss!”
