He was predeceased by: his parents, Herbert Lee and Susie Nell Stanton; and his siblings, Ina Sue Dougherty, Patsy Rose Erdman and Herbert Lee Stanton, Jr..
He is survived by: his wife Suzanne Schoolcraft Stanton; his children, Pamela Evans (Kevin) of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma and Dr. Derik Stanton (Jill) of Fayetteville; his sister Virginia Hight of Tulsa, Oklahoma; his grandchildren, Alexandra Evans, Jacob Evans (Lauren), Drake Stanton and Jessica Stanton; and his close friend Susie. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
