He was predeceased by: his parents, John Deason and Rena Bennett Deason; his wife Janice Deason; his daughter Cherine Morrison; and his brothers, Johnnie Mack Deason, Ed Deason and Dee Deason.
He is survived by: his children, Ricky Dale Deason of Powell, Denith Ray Deason of Seligman Missouri, Fred Dunn of Fox Arkansas, Jimmy Dunn of Tallahassee, Florida and Julie Kay Sheffield of Fayetteville, Arkansas; and his sisters, Wanda Blaine and Shirley McCammon of Bartlesville, Oklahoma. He is also survived by 20 grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren and great great grandchildren.
