With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Delphine King Gladden Mulvihill of Fayetteville, Arkansas, born in Chicago, Illinois, who passed away on July 1, 2022 at the age of 93. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, William Browning and Delphine Marie Titus King; her husband Jean C. Gladden; her sons, King and Peter Gladden; and her stepfather Jim Wesseling.

She is survived by: her daughters, Delphine Williams (Paul) of St. Louis, Jane Corrigan of Fayetteville and Anne Milburn (Rick) of Harrison, Arkansas; her grandchildren, Emily Greenway (John), Kevin Corrigan (Amanda), Crystal Wing (Adam), Will Gladden (Alex), Peter Williams (Sarah), Kate Horan (Jack), Claire Froschauer (Leslie), Mark Milburn and Julie Lunsford (Hunter); and her great grandchildren, Anna Claire, Ellie Lambert, Cash Gager, Noah, Elizabeth, Caroline Wing, Joseph, Rachel Williams, Catherine, Seiler, Sadie Corrigan, Kingsley Gladden and Delphine Rose Horan.

In lieu of flowers you may choose to make a donation to the Jean C. Gladden, M.D. and King Gladden Memorial Scholarship at UAMS College of Medicine which was established to provide financial assistance to a medical student with financial need and who has an aptitude for working with people as demonstrated through volunteerism and community service. John G Busby wrote a sympathy message

“Dear Delphine, Jane and Anne, A lifetime has passed since my uncle Fr. Marty was your parish priest in Harrison. My siblings and I got to know your family through him when we were kids in the early 1960s. Martin’s brother, my dad, was doctor in Little Rock as your father was in Harrison. I recall your mom’s kindness and presence. You are so fortunate to have had her for a long life in which your children got to know her. Sincere sympathy, John G Busby”
