He is survived by: his children, Caryn Scharlau of Canyon, Texas, Robin Muse (Terry) of Lithia, Florida, Greg Scharlau (Cyndie) of Springdale, Arkansas, Charles Scharlau (Nadia) of Cary and Marti Scharlau (Douglas Moore) of Fayetteville, Arkansas; and his grandchildren, Brandon Allen, McKenna Scharlau, Alex Scharlau, Kaiden Scharlau, Zoe Moore, Emil A. Mayev and Macey Wood.
