Charles Balentine Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Charles Balentine (Fayetteville, Arkansas), who passed away on August 2, 2023, at the age of 60, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his father Nathaniel Balentine, Sr.; his siblings, Lieutenant Colonel Nathaniel "Nate" Balentine, Jr. and Mary Balentine Yancey; and his brother-in-law Paul Edwards. He is survived by: his wife Marie; his daughter Jamie Alexander; his grandchild Avery Alexander; his great grandchildren, Bree and James Balentine; his mother Francella Balentine (White); and his sisters, Joyce Edwards (Balentine), Doris Balentine and De'Lisa Balentine. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Balentine, drafted by the Sacramento Kings in the 1985 NBA Draft, was inducted into the Newport Alumni Hall of Honor in 2009, the University of Arkansas Hall of Honor in 2013 and served on the Razorback Foundation's Board of Directors from 2012-2018.
