He was predeceased by: his parents, Byron Heady, and Eunice Heady, Sr. (Walling) of Coffeyville, Kansas; his daughter Linda Kay Heady of Jonesboro; and his sister Judith Kaiser Brooks (Heady) of Independence, Kansas.. He is survived by: his wife Martha Heady (Haltom); his daughters, Brenda Vail (Geron Vail) of Fayetteville, Arkansas and Marcia Heady; his grandchildren, Andrea Vail Wilson (John) of Prairie Grove, Tiffany Lamb Beaver (John-Mark) of Oklahoma City, Dustin Vail of Carrboro, Randi Lamb Mitchell (Ty) of Oklahoma City and Terah Vail Munstermann (Dane) of Fayetteville, Arkansas.; his great grandchildren, Caleb Wilson, Maci Mitchell, Dane Wilson, Ella Mitchell, Linus Vail, Allie Wilson, Florence Vail, Jack Beaver and Genevieve Beaver; his siblings, Jo Ann Nicolas (Calvin) of Coffeyville, Jane McDow (Victor Sr.) of Paola, Kansas and Haskell Heady of Coffeyville, Kansas; his aunts, Frances Evans (Walling) of Abilene and Ruby "Skip" Heady (Pierce) of Coffeyville, Kansas.; and his siblings-in-law, Roberta Stallings (Boots) of Jonesboro, Barbara Haltom of Hot Springs, Arkansas and Dwight Brooks of Independence, Kansas. He is also survived by many nephews, nieces, cousins, and close friends.
