He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Scanlan and Alma Scanlan; and his siblings, John Scanlan, Don Scanlan, Mary Scanlan, Virginia Wills, Sally Smart, Charlotte Patterson and Frances Hatfield.
He is survived by: his wife Priscilla; and his children, Dennis Small of Bremen, Germany, David Scanlan of Elk Point, Roland Scanlan of Melbourne and Deborah Moore of Iowa. He is also survived by Several grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
Due to Covid the service will be private and limited to family and close friends.
