Kermit Braxton Garriss, 77, of Fayetteville, died on June 20, 2019 after a 14-year battle with Alzheimer's.

“Braxton was a great friend and fellow junior officer aboard the USS Arcturus (AF-52) in the late '60s. We reconnected at a wonderful ship reunion in 2008. Judy and I had the opportunity of visiting Braxton and Susan in Fayetteville in 2014. He wanted me to have a book which turned out to be a cruise book from the Arcturus. He now sails on in peace with the Lord. Blessings to Susan, family, and friends including our great crew.”
