He was predeceased by: his parents, Mitchell Harwell and Weda Harwell; and his siblings, Bill, Joyce Ray and Ben Harwell.
He is survived by: his wife Peggy Lou; his sons, Mitch (Rhonda) and Michael; his grandchildren, Kellen (Jennifer) and Alyssa; his great grandchildren, Kennedy Rose and Brayden; his brother J. W. "Jake" Harwell (Selma); and his siblings-in-law, Shirley Harwell and Ronnie Rollow (Carolyn). He is also survived by many cousins, nieces, and nephews.
