Betty Phillips Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Betty Phillips of Fayetteville, Arkansas, born in Hope, Arkansas, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on October 26, 2024 at the age of 77. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
In the vast expanse of eternity, may Betty find peace everlasting, cradled in the gentle embrace of the universe. And as we stand on the shores of remembrance, may her legacy inspire us to live each day with purpose, passion, and profound gratitude for the gift of life itself.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Ludie Evelyn Calhoon Rogers and John Everett Rogers; and her sisters, Sylvia Pauline Rogers and Alicia Flo Rogers. She is survived by: her daughters, Kellie Rene'Phillips Cornelius (John) and Karin Rachelle'Phillips Alvarado (Jason); her granddaughters, Audrey Nicole Alvarado and Isabel Grace Alvarado; and her brother John Alvie Rogers (Sue). She is also survived by two nieces, two nephews, countless cousins, and several great nieces and nephews.
A celebration of life was held on Saturday, November 9th 2024 at 12:00 PM at the First Baptist Church (20 E Dickson St, Fayetteville, AR 72701).
In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been set up in her name at First Baptist Church Fayetteville to continue to support her grandchildren's quest to share the gospel with the world. Donations can be made out to "Suriname Trip in honor of Betty Phillips" and mailed to First Baptist Church, P.O. Box 1324 Fayetteville, AR 72702.
