He was predeceased by: his parents, Roland "Glen" Woodward and Linda Lou Woodward (Varner); his grandparents, A. D., Louise Woodward and Juanita Varner; and his brother Pat Woodward.

He is survived by: his wife Nancy Woodward; his son Garrett Woodward; his nephew Collin Woodward; his mother-in-law Kathy Simmons; his uncle Sim Johnson; and his cousins, Courtney Ruff and Shannan Kennedy.
