She was predeceased by: her parents, Floyd Lyken Smothers and Gracie Mae Rector Smothers; her siblings, Floyd Jr., Samuel, William Henry, Jerry Appleby and Grace Monteer; and her son Larry L. Appleby.
She is survived by: her granddaughter Cornelia Polk (Aaron); her great grandchildren, Braxton and Milayah; and her siblings, Dorothy Nyako (Frank) of Daytona Beach, FL, John David Smothers of Clinton, Mary Jane Knapp of Dardanelle, Linda Smothers Appleby of Daytona Beach, FL and Sarah Mae Walker of Clinton.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her honor to the local animal shelter.
