He was predeceased by: his parents, Elmer Nance and Virginia Nance; his brother Leroy Nance; his daughter Stacy Nance; and his grandson Taylor Wayne McPherson.

He is survived by: his wife Carolyn Thomas; his daughters, Sandra Criss (Chris) of Jackson, Sonia Crabtree (Brad) of Cave City and Tracey Thomas of Cave City, Arkansas; and his siblings, David Nance (Loretta) and Darlene Casey. He is also survived by seven grandchildren; eighteen great grandchildren; and many other relatives and friends.
