He was predeceased by: his parents, James Messick II and Mary Lou Conners. He is survived by: his wife Lois Moody Messick; his children, Ronald Wayne Younger, Amanda Hill, Jennifer Hornberger and Elizabeth Black; and his grandchildren, Ty Younger, Morgan Withers, Kaitlin Black, Brandon Black and Abby Withers. He is also survived by other relatives and friends.
