Though Valerie may no longer walk beside us, her memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Valerie touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. She was predeceased by: her parents, Roy Strand and Shirley Strand (Hovde); and her husband Donald James Payne. She is survived by: her sons, Donovan Meyer of Eureka Springs, Derrick Meyer of Arvada and Alexander Payne (Jessica Grimes) of Eureka Springs, Arkansas.. She is also survived by Several nieces, nephews.
