She was predeceased by: her parents, Claude Higginson and Mary Higginson; her adoptive parents, Tom, Maude Mitchell and Warren Paul Hoover Jr.; her son Thomas Lee Hoover; and her siblings, Frank, Edith, Nannie Bell and Gene.
She is survived by: her children, Cheryl and Mitch; her son-in-law Ed Herrington; her son Paul Mitchell (Cindy); her grandchildren, Jeremy, Tina Knox, Scott, Jasmine Knox, Paul and Jill Thompson; her great grandchildren, Aubree Sanders, Asa Sanders, Trey Sanders, Wylder Thompson, Bryleigh Knox, Collin Knox and Kendall Knox; and her siblings, Junie and Betty.
