He is survived by: his wife Brenda Kaye Burkett; and his children, Markcus Wayne Burkett, Jr. (Dot) of Dunnegan, Tammy Retford (Ken) of Pennsylvania and Chad Allen Burkett (Dedra). He is also survived by four children and one daughter-in-law.
