He was predeceased by: his parents, Clarence Mitchell and Ethel Mitchell (Waddell); and his sister Shirley Mae Mitchell Frizzell. He is survived by: his son James Thomas; his daughter-in-law Beth Mitchell of California; his daughter Sandra; his son-in-law Craig Stone of Alabama; and his brother Owen Mitchell of Ohio. He is also survived by grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
