He was predeceased by: his parents, Archie Tyra and Irma Jean Baldwin Tyra; his stepfather Leroy Godwin; and his daughter-in-law Ana Tyra. He is survived by: his children, John Tyra and Penny Flanigan (Dean); his stepchildren, Shawna Boyd (Tim), David Villiard and Bobby Villiard; his brother Lee Tyra; his stepbrother Deryl Godwin; his close friend Kathy Sidoti; his grandchildren, Ashley, Kyle, Carrie, Marc, Lisa, Jessie, Joni and Jannel (Michael); and his great grandchildren, Donovan, Katlyn, Madison, Derric, Paris, Paisley and Dawson.
