She was predeceased by: her parents, John Hudson Gunnels and Dorothy Barker Gunnels; her husband John Robert Dodson; her brother Tommy Joe Gunnels; her brother-in-law Brooks Rhea; and her nephew Randy Rhea.
She is survived by: her children, Mike (Terri Dodson), Tracy Wilson (Ricky Pepper) and Renee (Kevin Hilyard); her sister Faye Rhea of Emerson; her sister-in-law Elise Gunnels of Walkerville; and her grandchildren, Jennifer (Byron Marlar), Shaun (Lacey Dodson), Jenni (Jeff Daniel), Wesley Wilson, Taylor (Lorin Hilyard), Tanner (Tania Hilyard), Trevor (Catie Ridling), Sara Hilyard, Byron, Caleb and Jeff. She is also survived by eight great grandchildren; and a host of extended family and friends.
Memorials may be made to the First Baptist Church in Emerson, Arkansas.
