He is survived by: his wife Lelia; his former wife Peggy Deis; his children, Christian Deis, Colleen Deis of Jonesboro, Brian of New Jersey, D. J. Deis of New Jersey and Michael McDonald of New Jersey; and his sisters, Donna Stevenson of California, Cathy Carstens of Jonesboro, Vickie Pearson and Debbie Hardison of North Carolina. He is also survived by several grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
