He was predeceased by: his parents, Harlon Doty and Alice Everson Doty. He is survived by: his wife Carla Barnett Doty; his son Shohn Doty of Gastonia; his sister Donna Scott (Jonnie) of Barling, Arkansas; his grandchildren, Bethany Doty of Charlotte and Blake Doty (Melissa) of Rogers; and his great grandchildren, Beaux, Jackson and Harrison.
