He was predeceased by: his parents, Kelsy Jenkins Caplinger, Jr. and Ethel Turner Caplinger; and his former wife Elizabeth Owens Caplinger. He is survived by: his brother Dr. Thomas R. Caplinger (Mary Ann); his wife Marcia Lecky Caplinger; his children, Jeff Caplinger (Debbie), Jennifer Caplinger Parker (Jamey), Paul Lecky III (Nancy), Laura Lecky Coulter (John), Little Rock and Mauri Lecky Arnold; his grandchildren, Beth Caplinger, Kelsy Parker, Samantha, Matthew Lecky, Jonathan Coulter, Rachel, Katherine and Eliza Arnold; his son Ronald McDonald; his mothers-in-law, Liz Owens of El Dorado and Marcia; and also Methodist.
