He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Henry Scroggin and Eva Lee Harwood Scroggin; his wife Elizabeth "Betty" Biggadike Scroggin; his son Roy Robert Holden Scroggin; and his siblings, Afton Scroggin, Wilburn Scroggin, James Wendell Scroggin, Richard Doyle Scroggin, Edwin Ray Scroggin and Margaret Evelyn Scroggin.
He is survived by: his sons, Dr. Carroll Dean Scroggin, Jr. (Ruth) of Jonesboro, Arkansas and Joseph Henry Scroggin of Kailua-Kona, Hawaii; and his brother Ben Scroggin (Gay). He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
