He was predeceased by: his parents, Van Buren Phillips and Louvenia Phillips (Ellis); his wife Linda Carol Simmons Phillips; his daughter Teresa Phillips Lamb; and his siblings, Erving, James, Albert of Ernest, J. P., Freddie, Laura, Martha and Mary Lee.
He is survived by: his grandchildren, Adrian Lamb Sr. (Temika), Keith Lamb (Shanitra), Justin Lamb, Kevin Otey Jr., Keaton, Deonte, Devontae Phillips, Shavonna Phillips, Cecelia Lamb, Keeyanna Neely and Ashley Cannon (Darrius); his great grandchildren, Adrian Lamb Jr., Khloey, Kameyah, Ma'Leyah, Khylyn Lamb, Darrius Cannon Jr., Angel Gibbs, Tylena Gibbs, William Gibbs Jr. and Khyla Watson; and his goddaughter Tonya Gathings.
