It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Joe Perkins of Elaine, Arkansas, born in Lexington, Tennessee, who passed away on January 24, 2022, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by : his parents, Lester F. Perkins and Golden Rogers Perkins; his wife Helen Workman Perkins; his grandson Brent Ward; and his siblings, Gene Perkins, Opal Brown, Ruby Stallings, Betty Barrentine and Wilma Sue Perkins.
He is survived by : his daughters, Becky Ward (Mike) of Elaine, Vicky Crisp (Curtis) of Elaine and Linda Jo Short (Chester) of Greenville, MS; his grandchildren, Casey Ripper (John), Eric Benefield (Jessica), Jason Short (Kim) and Jessica Short Hammons; his great grandchildren, Alexis Henry, Paislee, Auby, Owen Short, Grant Hammons, Jackson Benefield, Gracie Willingham, Jasper, Christian and Gage Ripper; his great great grandchild Adalynn Ripper; his siblings, Larry, Clois Perkins and Brenda Bethune; and his sister-in-law Bernell Baugher.
