She was predeceased by: her father William (Bill); her husband Darrell Dwayne Short Sr.; and her siblings, Dewitt, Louis, Glenn, Vernon, Tommy Smith, Morine Smith, Rita Oakley (Mitchell) and Elaine Reddings (Howard).
She is survived by: her children, Darrell Dwayne Short Jr. (Glennis) of Benton and Martha; her grandsons, Curtis Dwayne Short of Austin and Jacob Wade Thompson (Wynn) of Bauxite; her great grandchild Justin Wade Thompson of Bauxite; her granddaughter Lindie Thompson (Jake Walker) of Austin; her siblings, Donald Ray Smith of El Paso, Edith Bernard of Vilonia, Freda Kirkland, Arlena Riley (Don) of El Paso and Alice Thompson of Romance; and her sister-in-law Jennie Sarringar (Smith). She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
