He was predeceased by: his parents, Rev. William J. "Willie" Sones and Mildred Ophelia Swinney Sones; his wife Norma Faye Lowery Sones; his siblings, Edward Donald Sones, Helen Sones Holtzclaw Wilkerson and Nancy Sones Smith; and his nephew Charles Arthur Sones (Charlie).
He is survived by: his daughters, Diane Kendrick (Tom) of El Dorado and La Donna Hayner of Holiday Island, AR; his grandchildren, Jamie McCarty (Alicia) of El Dorado, Janna Doss (Bruce) of El Dorado, Caley Miller of Holiday Island, AR and Garin Hayner (Lorrie) of Green Forest, AR; his great grandchildren, Dakota Martinez, Moss Miller and Elijah Doss; his stepgreat-grandchildren, Destany Bradley, Jayden Morgan and Lincoln Morgan; his great great grandchildren, Hadley Vines and Rowdy Kate Bradley; and his brother Charles Ray Sones (Ann) of Junction City. He is also survived by his family and friends.
