He was predeceased by: his parents, Shelby A. Ward, Sr. and Marjorie Thompson Ward; his wife Howeleen Ward; and his daughters, Montie Lynn Ward and Shelly Ward.
He is survived by: his sons, Shelby "Sonny" Ward, III and Michael Lynn Ward; his grandchildren, Maegan Womack, Christian Ward, Lacey Ward, Jon Michael Ward (Lauren), Shelby Ward, IV, Hunter Ward (Shelby) and Houston Ward (Keelyann); his great grandchildren, Jaycie Womack, Graycie Womack, Kylie Ward, Ava Ward, Lilah Ward, Cannon Ward, Cypress Ward and Autumn Ward; and his great great grandchild Montie Morris.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, March 18th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Young's Chapel. A funeral service was held on Tuesday, March 18th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
