Mary Sumner Obituary

We bid farewell to Mary Sumner (El Dorado, Arkansas), whose journey of life gracefully concluded on February 26, 2025 at the age of 87. Mary touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

As we bid adieu to Mary's earthly form, let us not dwell on the void left in her wake, but rather celebrate the legacy of love and inspiration Mary has bequeathed us. For though she may have departed from our sight, her spirit remains a timeless beacon, guiding loved ones through the labyrinth of life's journey.

She was predeceased by: her parents, James Francis and Elsa Juanita Marron; and her brother Jimmy Marron. She is survived by: her children, Steve Downey (June) of Emmerson, AR and Teresa Williams of El Dorado, AR. She is also survived by six grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; as well as a host of extended family.

A graveside service will be held on Friday, February 28th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Stewart-Walker Cemetery.
