He was predeceased by: his parents, Mabel E. Johnson Funderburg and James E. Funderburg; his wife Sallie McHan Funderburg; his son James Doyle "Jay" Funderburg Jr.; and his brothers, Kenneth Funderburg, Billy Funderburg, Michael Funderburg and Sammy Funderburg.
He is survived by: his daughter Genell Davis (Clif) of El Dorado; his grandchildren, Sassy Socia (Brandon), Alisa Clark, Heather Henderson, Joshua Sinclair (Ayren) and Dakota Funderburg (Casey); his great grandchildren, Coy, Claire, Clate Socia, Zander, Zavia Clark, Tessa Weeks, Lexi Allison, Kaden Sinclair and Page Funderburg; his siblings, Jerry Funderburg (Debbie) of El Dorado and Jean Brown of Alexander, AR; and his pet Little Kitty. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Thursday, January 16th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:30 PM at the Bailey Funeral Home - El Dorado (400 N College Ave, El Dorado, AR 71730). A graveside service was held on Thursday, January 16th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Rest Haven Memorial Gardens.
