With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Gussie Young (El Dorado, Arkansas), who passed away on July 24, 2024 at the age of 97. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Fred Lewis and Critty Davis Lewis; her spouses, Odell Johnson and Roy Joseph Young; her stepdaughter Rita Mae Johnson; and her siblings, Fred Lewis Jr., Buck Lewis, Hosea Lewis, Simon Lewis, Willie Davis, Annie Lee Lewis, Mary Lee Lewis, Glayds Turner and Ellen Irene Ranson.
She is survived by: her stepdaughter Noami Guy of Oakland, CA; and her sisters, Critty Doss (Jimmy Sr.) of Little Rock, AR, Mandy Brown (late Sammie) of Smackover, AR and Hattie Ford (late Johnny) of Smackover, AR. She is also survived by a host of Stepgrandchildren, Nieces, Nephews, Family, and Friends.
