She is survived by: her son Joe Michael Owens; her granddaughters, Tomeka Rochell Harper and Betty Faye McBride (Andrew); her brothers, Jimmy and Colvin; and her great-nieces, Janice Hicks (Lorenzo), Latasha Green (Robert), Kimberly Henry (Thomas), Shkeshia Gibson (Brandon), Shannon Hicks, Shquita Tandy (Dejoin) and Tarneshia Baker. She is also survived by relatives and friends.
