He is survived by: his children, William Tate McKinney, Vanessa Broger and Marquette Tate Broger; and his siblings, Minister Mattie Shandon, Virginia Tyson, Bobbie Jean Tate, Eddie C. Tate, Jr., Freddie Tate, Johnnie B. Tate, Cleo Whittier and Terry Whittier. He is also survived by two grandson; two granddaughters and one great granddaughter.
