He was predeceased by: his parents, Thomas Bennett and Lillie Walker; and his daughter Debra Lynn Byrd. He is survived by: his wife Shirley Bennett; his children, David Bennett (Karen) of Milton, Jason Bennett (Jennifer) of Byhalia, Mississippi and Vickie Bennett; and his brother Ralph Bennett. He is also survived by eleven grandchildren; six great grandchildren.
