She was predeceased by: her parents, Junius Pennington and Ruth Pennington; her husband Jim; and her siblings, John, Willie-Van, Frank, Coy-Ed, Clyde and Barbara.
She is survived by: her children, Cathy Brooks and Vernon Brooks (Judy); and her granddaughter Amy. She is also survived by 3 great-grandchildren.
