He was predeceased by: his parents, Marvin Guy and Alzora Phillips Guy; his former wife Ann Lancaster Guy; his daughter Tammy Fleming; and his siblings, Geraldine Hoselton, Bonnie Gibbs and Robert Lee Guy.

He is survived by: his wife Ruth Lancaster Guy; his daughter Susie Root (Mike) of Marion; and his siblings, Bennie Guy of Texas, Tommy Guy of Trumann, Alice Miller of Wynne, Margaret Cullum of Wynne and Molly Frazier of Hardy. He is also survived by six grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren.
