She was predeceased by: her parents, Clyde Everrett and Martha Angiline Stewart Swarringin; and her siblings, Clyde, Donald Swarringin, Linda Wagonblast and Sandra Moore.
She is survived by: her children, Herman Dean Shields, Jr. (Beckie) of Rison, Robert "Bobby" Shields (Annette) of Tillar, Jerry Wayne Shields (Cindy) of Dumas, Donna Greer (Bruce) of Cabot and Sandra Shields of Dumas; and her brothers, David Swarringin (Opal) of Alton and Russell Swarringin (Helen) of Poplar Bluff. She is also survived by twelve grandchildren and twenty-one great grandchildren.
