He was predeceased by: his wife Vera Lee Young. He is survived by: his children, Joseph "Heavy" Young Jr. The, Carolyn Young, Bobbie Jo Murphy, Saul Young (Lakesha), Robert Young (Jackie), Joann Young, Debra Young, Helen Griswold (Thomas) of Reed, AR, Janet Lewis (John) of Carrollton, TX, Topaz Young of Little Rock, AR and Dora Nealon (Stephen) of Warren, AR; and his sisters, Betty Jo Austin of Reed, AR, Sharon Young of McGehee, AR and Mary Grace Young of Little Rock, AR.
Visitation will be held on Friday, February 21st 2025 from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Serenity Gardens Funeral Services (136 St. Hwy 159 N, Dumas, AR 71639). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, February 22nd 2025 at 2:30 PM at the McGehee Chapel MB Church (202 Church St, McGehee, AR 71654).
