He was predeceased by: his parents, Jack W. Smith and Alice Jones Smith; and his brothers, Jackie and Billy Smith. He is survived by: his wife Bea Smith of Dumas; his children, Howard Paul Smith (Judy) of Georgia, Scott Allan Smith of Fayetteville and Holly Harp (Jim) of Springdale; his stepchildren, Daniel E. Kendrick, Jr. (Stephanie) of Knoxville and Cynthia A. Green of Dominican Republic; and his brothers, Mark Smith (Marie) of Missouri and Lannie W. Smith of Atlanta. He is also survived by seven grandchildren.
