He was predeceased by: his parents, Willie Harvey Persons and Nancy Eva Thomas Persons; his stepson Don Kilburn; and his brothers, Billy and Franky.
He is survived by: his wife Lou Persons of Dumas; his siblings, Harold Persons (Pearl) of Dumas, Travis Persons (Libby) of White Hall, Loice Smith (Joe) of Dumas and Wanda Mankin (Ronnie) of Dumas; and his grandsons, Justin and Jordan Kilburn. He is also survived by three great grandchildren.
