She was predeceased by: her parents, Rev. Mullen Buries and Willie Anna Buries; her siblings, Robert Buries Sr. and Murraye Glaspy; her granddaughter Anna Joyner; and her daughter Janice Joyner-Lambert.

She is survived by: her son Roscoe Joyner III; her grandchildren, Britney Joyner, Kayla Joyner, Debra Joyner and Khendle Joyner; her siblings, Vera Dervine, Mary Swopes, Mullen Buries Jr. (Phyllis) and Willie Buries; and her former husband Roscoe Joyner Jr.. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, friends.

A graveside service was held on Saturday, November 16th 2024 at 10:30 AM at the Jerusalem Cemetery.
