He was predeceased by: his parents, John Monroe Murrell and Jennie Mae Rountree Murrell; his siblings, Duane Murrell, Marjorie Goff, Helen Walker, Elaine Hollis, Fern Lewis, Kay Goble and Gloria Cannon; and his grandchildren, Jedidiah Murrell and Daniel Murrell.
He is survived by: his wife Sharon Kaye Murrell (Grant); his children, Kirk Murrell (Teresa) of Drasco, Arkansas, Lisa Spinks (Loyd) of Concord and Kim Birdsong (Darrin) of Drasco, Arkansas; his grandchildren, Kelly McPike (Aron), Tyrel Murrell, Levi Spinks, Rachel Spinks, Will Spinks, JoAna Spinks, Hayden Birdsong and Katie Yohe (Andy); and his great grandchildren, Wrenley Yohe, Breanna McPike, Adi McPike, Lily Spinks and TJ Spinks. He is also survived by family and many many friends.
