He was predeceased by: his mother Minnie Bell Killion; his wife Lavonne Killion (Cannon); his uncle Andy Killion (Lavonne); and his sons-in-law, Jamie Spinks and Ronnie Cooper.
He is survived by: his children, Judy Spinks, Karen Cooper and Mickie Killion (Linda) of Drasco. He is also survived by five grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren and six great-great grandchildren along with numerous other friends.
He had requested no funeral service to be held but those wishing to honor his memory may do so through the Herman and Lavonne Killion Memorial Fund which has been established with Citizens Bank.
