He was predeceased by: his parents, Ted Wood and Velma Mae Stockton Wood; his wife Phyllis Wood; his stepdaughter Sharon Ruth Foulk; and his siblings, Dale Wood, Jimmy Wood and Vera Mae.
He is survived by: his daughter Carolyn Walker; his son-in-law Robert Walker of Dover; his son Gary Wood; his daughter-in-law Ruth Wood (Dixie) of Dover; and his sister Beatrice Spradlin of Fort Smith. He is also survived by seven grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
