He was predeceased by: his siblings, Eual Chilton, Etta Belle Morris and Mildred Poynter. He is survived by: his parents, Garland Chilton and Rena Girardeau Chilton; his wife Jane Chilton; his son Jody Poynter; and his nieces and nephews, Randy, Rod, Rudy, Sam, Shea Chilton, Bob Morris, Christy Chilton-Honeycutt, Gayla Joeckel and Rhonda Akers. He is also survived by several great-nieces and nephews.
