It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Arvin Lee Booy of Donaldson, Arkansas, born in Pella, Iowa, who passed away on December 17, 2023, at the age of 84, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, William Booy and Emily Booy (Uitermarkt); his former wife Lana Dalby Booy; his grandson Jay McCafferty; and his siblings, Jim Booy, Shirley Nichols and Janice Rentschler.
He is survived by: his wife Leola Jones Booy of Donaldson; his daughters, Glorie Thornton (Dennis) of Bismarck and Dawn Cansler (Daniel) of Little Rock; his stepchildren, David Green (Jonnell) of Oppaloosa, LA, Debbie McCafferty (Eddie) of Leland, NC, Terry Babineaux (Jasper) of Oppaloosa, LA and Rhonda Schuster of Oppaloosa, LA; his siblings, Harold Booy (Evelyn) of Mt Home, Alfred Booy (Carol) of Oskaloosa, IA, Ray Booy of Chatham, NY and Marlene Wiener of Ankeny, IA; and his grandchildren, Ryan Thornton (Nikki), Kassi Dupre (John), Emily Dillon (Ty), Jonathan Cansler, Jason McCafferty (Eileen), Joey McCafferty, Kellie Ebersole (John) and Tracy Frey (Matt). He is also survived by sixteen great-grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren.
